Visitors noted a familiar and understandable format for the audience, an interesting business program, the absence of random exhibitors and convenient timing of the event among the significant advantages of TEXTILLEGPROM compared to other exhibitions this season. The main object of attention of the organizers was and remains domestic participants. The credo and mission of TEXTILLEGPROM for 30 years has been assistance to national business, which is more relevant today than ever and corresponds to the Russian Government’s policy on import substitution. Not wanting to chase the trend of this fall and to fill the entire space with booths of Chinese companies that have poured in large numbers into our market, TEXTILLEGPROM has maintained an adequate ratio of the representation of companies from Russia and China, choosing in favor of proven and reliable exhibitors which we were sure of the high quality of products and services.

Business program
The Business Program was also organized in a format – familiar and understandable to visitors. Traditionally, it began with a plenary session on the most pressing topic – Development of textile and light industry in modern conditions. The speakers shared their points of view on what is the current paradigm for the development of the domestic light industry, what has happened over the year, and at what is current point in industry development.
The Business Program of the first day of the Fair was continued by the discussion session “Ivanovo Region: Textile Traditions and Innovations”. Evgeny Rumyantsev – the moderator of the session, Rector of Ivanovo State Polytechnic University, when opening the event, quite rightly noted that in this audience there are hardly any people who do not know about the more than 300-year history of Ivanovo textiles and the development of this region as the most famous textile cluster. During the session, the speakers told what new things had happened recently on Ivanovo land, what new industries had arisen, and what difficulties they had to face.
The Business Program of the first day of the exhibition concluded with the workshop: “Digital printing on fabric. New business model”, which was held by Elena Letyagina, commercial director of the Solstudio Industry textile printing factory.
The topic of regional development and creation of production clusters was continued on the second day of the Business Program. In addition, during all the events of the second day, “non-format” solutions and non-standard developments were presented. The second day was opened by the conference “Prospects for the development of light industry: the Orenburg cluster”, organized under the auspices of TEXTILLEGPROM’s long-time good partner - the Light Industry. Courier. Magazine. The participants discussed the business potential of the Orenburg region, where, unlike Ivanovo with its fairly well-developed cluster infrastructure, there is a developed oil and gas, metallurgical, chemical, and mining industry, and these industries determine the economic potential of the region.
On the second day of the exhibition, the Business Program includes a dialogue between representatives of the light industry and chemists. The expert session “Innovations of the chemical industry for the light industry” began with a brief overview of the chemical market for the light industry, which was presented by Irina Vendilo, Vice-President of the Russian Union of Chemists, General Director of the Roskhimreaktiv Association.
The final event of the second day of the Business Program of the TEXTILLEGPROM Fair was the master class “Clothing production of the future: seamless technologies”. It was conducted by the founder of the SportTex company, Igor Kim, demonstrating the advantages of seamless technologies in the production of clothing.
By tradition, the third day of the TEXTILLEGPROM Business Program is dedicated to beginning designers, constructors, technologists, start-ups - all those who dare to connect their careers with the world of fashion, design, production of clothing, shoes, and accessories. The Business Program began with a round table “Startups in the light industry and fashion industry: viability and potential!”, organized under the auspices of another long-time partner of the exhibition - Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin.
At the end of the Round Table, the organizers of the TEXTILLEGPROM Fair made an announcement that the winner of the Admiralty Needle competition for young designers will be given a free stand at the next, 61st TEXTILLEGPROM, which will be held in Moscow in February-March 2024.
The Business Program was continued by the seminar “How to choose the positioning of a fashion brand and target audience in order to sell more?”, which was conducted by clothing designer Ksenia Katysheva and business consultant on sales management and strategic development Daniya Tkacheva.
The main part of the Business Program of the TEXTILLEGPROM was held over three days, but seminars, consultations and master classes at the stand of the Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin were held all four days of the exhibition.
As the Business Program showed, many topics require continued discussion. Speakers spoke about this repeatedly during almost every event. Also, during the discussions, new topics emerged, which are planned to be discussed at the Business Program of the 61st Federal Trade Fair of Goods and Equipment for the Textile and Light Industry TEXTILLEGPROM from February 27 to March 1, 2024 at the Crocus Expo IEC.
